SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Gordon Biersch in San Francisco will host a very special auction of sports memorabilia from the World Series Champion San Francisco Giants on Saturday, June 18, 2011. The excitement starts at 6:00pm and will feature a silent auction of signed items from the Giants’ 2010 championship season, raffle drawings, food, and special beers. Also, large TV screens will be showing the Giants as they battle the Oakland A’s across the bay (live) at 7:05pm.

The event brings Giants fans and dog lovers together to help support the heroic efforts of Rocket Dog Rescue.  Admission is free and every dime raised goes to help dogs in need.  All San Francisco Giants auction items are authenticated and include:

Rocket Dog Rescue was founded in 2001 by Pali Boucher, and is celebrating their 10th Anniversary this year. To date, this devoted group has rescued over 5,000 animals. Rocket Dog Rescue is an all-volunteer organization and a registered 501-(c) (3) nonprofit corporation supported completely by donations. The group serves the greater Bay Area and is dedicated to saving homeless and abandoned dogs from over crowded animal shelters. They also help dogs from other areas that have compelling situations where they are in danger of abuse, neglect or euthanasia.
